Where is Amos Cove?

Amos Cove is located in Muğla’s Marmaris district, between Turunç and Kumlubük coves. It is approximately 24 kilometers from the center of Marmaris. Its geographical location makes it easily accessible both by land and sea. Amos also hosts the historical Amos Ancient City.

This cove, with its cliffs stretching from the hillside to the sea, natural landscape decorated with olive and pine trees, and quiet environment, is ideal for those who want to enjoy the sea without disconnecting from nature.

How to Get to Amos Cove

By Private Car:
The easiest way to reach Amos Cove is by private car. From Marmaris, head toward Turunç and, about 1–2 km after passing Turunç, you will see the sign for Amos. The route features scenic and narrow winding roads, so careful driving is recommended.

At the end of the road, there is a parking area where you can leave your car. From there, a short walk takes you to Amos Beach and the ancient city.

By Public Transportation:
It is possible to reach Turunç from central Marmaris by minibus. After getting off in Turunç, you can reach Amos Cove by taxi or on foot (approximately 1.5 km). Walking in the summer heat can be difficult, so planning early in the day is advisable.

By Boat Tours:
Amos Cove is also a stop on daily boat tours departing from Marmaris. Various blue cruise routes starting from Turunç, Kumlubük, or Marmaris also anchor at Amos Beach. This option allows you to enjoy the sea journey while experiencing Amos Cove.

Amos Beach:
Amos Beach stands out with its pebbled shore and turquoise clarity. The sea does not deepen suddenly, making it suitable for non-swimmers and families with children. Amos Ancient City:
Located just above Amos Cove, Amos Ancient City dates back to the 3rd century BC. The ruins of the theater, walls, and ancient structures are still present. A short walk brings you to this historical site, where you can enjoy breathtaking views at sunset.

Amos stands out for its silence and natural environment, away from noisy beaches and crowds. It is perfect for walking, reading, quietly entering the sea, and simply listening to the waves.

Entrance Fee and Services at Amos Cove

Amos Beach is usually operated by a private facility, so there is an entrance fee. As of the 2025 summer season, entrance fees are expected to be around 100–150 TL per person. Renting sunbeds and umbrellas requires an additional charge.

Basic facilities such as changing cabins, toilets, showers, and a restaurant are available. However, the capacity of these facilities is limited, so arriving early during summer months is important.
